Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls jest bijatyką osadzoną w superbohaterskim uniwersum Marvela. Produkcja została stworzona przez studio Arc System Works, znane głównie za sprawą serii BlazBlue i Guilty Gear, ale też między innymi projektu Dragon Ball FighterZ. Oprócz tego współpracowały przy niej firmy PlayStation Studios oraz sam Marvel.

Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls jest bijatyką, w której wcielamy się w postacie toczące zaciekłe pojedynki na arenach. Tytuł przygotowano w taki sposób, by zapewniał dobrą zabawę zarówno weteranom gatunku, jak i nowicjuszom, za sprawą klasycznego oraz uproszczonego schematu sterowania.
